About Me
My Story
I am a photographer and mixed media artist from Ventura, California, working with both digital and film photography alongside traditional mediums like painting and sketching. My creative process embraces spontaneity, starting with a concept and allowing the experience to unfold naturally, capturing authentic moments and emotions without rigid planning.
My work is inspired by the people around me and my own emotional landscape, often exploring unconventional lighting and perspectives that create a sense of mystery. I deliberately compose images that invite viewers to question what lies beyond the frame, incorporating elements of both realism and abstraction to challenge perception and spark curiosity.
Above all, I value creating space for wonder in a world where so much is immediate and obvious. I craft visual stories that resist being fully understood at first glance, inviting viewers to discover new meanings with each viewing. Whether through photography, painting, or sketching, each piece I create is personal, a connection waiting to be explored, embracing the perfect imperfections that make art truly meaningful.

In an ordinary place
I started experimenting with my grandmother’s camera in high school and immediately fell in love with the art. It took some time and trial-and-error with various subjects, lighting and settings for me to ultimately gravitate towards nature as my favorite theme. I love being able to observe and snap pictures of both plants and animals and then be able to share them. But in all honesty, photography is the best way to capture a moment in time the human eye can’t. I want to be able to catch moments like birds taking flight, mice leaping, fish splashing, etc. I want to be able to create art that people find unique and interesting.
